Art's Night Performance

Yesturday was sooo much fun. We got to perform eight songs and this was also the last performance we will be playing ever again as Castlemore's Wind Ensemble. Some of the songs we played, you might recognize. The songs we played were My Heart Will Go On, Edelwiss, Last Voyage of Queen Anne's Revenge, Pirates of the Carribean, Chorale 156, Beauty and The Beast, Eye of The Tiger, and our favourite song; Legend Of Castle Armagh. The last song we played was the Legend of Castle Armagh and we even got Mrs. Scibberas (our teacher) very emotional. The gym was as always, very beautiful and filled with many amazing pieces of art. I found all three of my paintings since all of the grade eight's and a few grade seven's paintings were displayed. Afterward, we wrote on Mrs. Scibberas board and saying thanks to her for all her efforts. I will definetely miss her because she has certainly taught us a lot. She organized workshops for us to work on our playying and also found great pieces for us to play. In addition, a grade nine music teacher from my future high school also came and helped us tweak our music to make it the best as possible and to bring out the potiental in us.
Here is a video of the song Legend of Castle Armagh. The middle part of the song was cut because dad thought that the song ended and also I was looking for the sheet of music so he thought it ended when it actually didn't. We just had a short break while the drums played because it started off with a slow tempo and then gradually getting to a faster tempo then going back to slow. There is four parts to this song and it also tells a story. In the beginning, it talks about the place where the Castle is. Then it talks about going into the Hall of the Nobles where Kings and Queens gather together to feast or to talk about stuff. In the part where it got cut off was suppose to be a battle between an enemy. In the end is celebrating the victory of the battle and also the proud of the victory. I hope that you can figure out the story by listening and watching the video.

  1. Saman,

You all played very well, though I don't know this song. Also, I watch many amazing pieces of
art especially I love three of them that you did.

  2. Saman,

Seems that all of your classmates are Asians. I can't find any white people in the orchestra. Right?
